The Cold Standard
Cold water immersion is going mainstream, and most of it is being done badly. The Cold Standard is our quality framework: the level of science, infrastructure and governance it takes for cold water immersion to work, session after session, and more than clean, cold water. It's the standard behind every Brass Monkey, from national gym chains to spa floors to a bath in your garden.
The difference is having a standard.
A plunge tub is easy to buy. What's hard is making cold water immersion work, session after session, member after member, year after year. Get it wrong and you get dead square footage: equipment without a programme, murky water nobody trusts, members who try it once and never come back. Get it right and cold becomes the thing people build their week around.

Three pillars. One outcome.
Remove one pillar and the standard is not met. Infrastructure is the plumbing; governance is the trained team that runs it; science is why it's worth running at all.

Science.
The evidence base. Cold water immersion as stress training you choose, with T>C>R™ as the dosing model, every claim evidence-graded, and a research partnership with Coventry University behind it.

Infrastructure.
The physical system. Commercial-grade equipment connected on HALO: live telemetry, remote diagnostics, UK engineers. A bath is just a bath; we build cold water systems.

Governance.
How it's run. Structured handover, trained operators, precision dosing, defined SLAs. The operating layer that turns infrastructure into readiness. Part of The Cold Standard, on every install.
What the standard commits to.
UKCA certified, and set up to run to PWTAG and SPATA operating guidance.
Every system connected to HALO, with live telemetry and performance monitoring.
Dosing and programming set with your team, from our facility charts.
Your staff trained by us, with certified water treatment training available through our expert partner.
A UK support team: around 95% of issues resolved remotely, through settings or advice, with engineers on site when needed.
Evidence-graded claims only: we say what the research shows, and what it doesn't yet.
Readiness: what the standard is for.
Readiness is a trained feeling. It comes from having done hard things, and come back down. For a member or home user, it's this. Recovered is the state your body gets to. Capacity is the belief your head builds over time. Readiness is both, felt now. It also shows up as feel-good: it's emotional as much as rational. For an operator, it shows up where it counts: members who come back, recommend it, and build it into the rhythm of their week. Recovery is why they join. Readiness is why they stay.

What every Brass Monkey ships with.
The Cold Standard isn't a premium tier. Every commercial install is run to The Cold Standard from day one: HALO connection, accessories, staff training from us, with certified water treatment training through our expert partner, PT training, facility dosing charts, a welcome pack, and a UK support team that answers the phone. ProCare and ColdCare extend it for operators who want uptime, with the service layer extended. But the standard itself is never optional. It's what makes a Brass Monkey a Brass Monkey.

Run to the standard.
Gym floor, spa suite or your own back garden, the standard is the same. Only the scale changes.
